i take back everything i said about the presidents of the parties. i had asked sometime ago that they should send their wives to campaign in short skirts but since thats not happening i am happy to watch the presidents make fools of themselves
the presidential debate between two future PMs was far from presidential. people seem to have enjoyed it if they were DPT supporters and not so much if they were PDP. but in the end people forgot one thing. this is a debate between future PMs in a democracy. and if you take it by that standard the debate we have seen between high school kids on arcane topics were much better.
this one was far from a debate between leaders. sangay ngedup couldnt get over his fear of looking stupid that he really behaved stupidly giggling like a child and not taking the chance to ask questions. jigmi thinley it seems couldnt be more smug that he can speak in public and he just couldnt get over the fact that they have to be addressed as ‘ex lyonpos’. he kept harping on this change in title like a spoiled brat not allowed to do what he wants. you are a former lyonpo no matter whether your ancestors down to yourself worked in the palace or government. accept it gracefully
